Take Versions
Playblasting a camera again will increment the mp4 filename ‘_T01, _T02, _T03, etc’ which represent Take Versions. This is considered a new take of an existing shot. Playblasting a camera a second time will not import a video strip again. Instead, to access that Take Version, RIGHT+CLICK on the existing video strip and go to the bottom of the menu under Take Version > Select Take Version. This allows you to update the shot or go back to a previous version of a shot.
If you rename your strips to use Shot Labels, you can still update the take version because it references the camera name, not the shot label name.
If you playblast several cameras at the same time with existing video strips in the VSE, you can batch update multiple video strips to the latest version by multi-selecting the video strips you want to update and pressing Update to Latest Take Version in the Sequencer N-Panel Menu. This will use the latest version for each video strip.

Trimming
Trim Left/Right will cut the strip at the Playhead and then delete the strip to the left/right of the playhead and move all strips over to the playhead. It’s a quick way to remove part of a video strip and slide everything over without having to do multiple steps manually. Trimming Left will move all strips after trimming over so the first scene start frame is 1.
